Grey’s Anatomy
Y’all… Shonda Rhimes is the G.O.A.T for this series. I cannot get enough of this TV show and have invested feelings lol. I put my boyfriend on this show and he is in love with it too. We plan to binge-watch from Season 1 to its current season this summer. 😂
Basically it is a medical drama series focusing on a group of doctors at a hospital. You will get hook if you have not seen this show. Binge-watch it on Netflix or Hulu! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
When They See Us
Whoo chileee… this is going to be a tough one for me to watch, but I am determined to finish it through this summer!
Created by Ava DuVernay and based on a true story, the miniseries, When They See Us, tells the true story of the Central Park Five — Five teens from Harlem become trapped in a nightmare when they’re falsely accused of a brutal attack in Central Park. Find it on Netflix to watch.
Grown-ish
I cannot wait to start this show! 😊
This is a spin-off from ABC’s Black-ish, following Zoey Johnson as she takes her first steps into the real world as she heads off to college. Grown-ish features the first trappings of adulthood and “that in between place where you’re not quite an adult but facing grown world problems for the first time”. Sounds like the perfect show to watch if you are currently in college!
Good Trouble
Another spin-off from one of my favorite Freeform’s TV shows, The Fosters. Good Trouble follows sisters Callie and Mariana as they navigate their early 20s in Los Angeles. Mariana tackles the male-dominated world of tech and Callie faces the harsh realities of the legal system as she clerks for a federal judge. If it is as good as The Fosters, then I can’t wait to watch this one either!
Black Mirror
When I first started this show, I ain’t going to lie… I was like wtf is this. But it grew on me and I wanted to see more and more.
Black Mirror is a British television series that began in 2011. This sci-fi anthology series explores a twisted, high-tech near-future where humanity’s greatest innovations and darkest instincts collide. Each episode in a season is a totally new story and the best of all, you don’t have to watch it in order. Catch Season 5 on Netflix!
